Fuzzy Socks

Fuzzy Socks is a charming short play about a little girl, Gemma, who looses her favorite fuzzy socks. Because the socks had sentimental value, she sets her homework aside to investigate their disappearance with her best friend, Will. The prime suspect is her mother on laundry day! Will she uncover the mystery or will she discover that relationships are more important than material objects? This world premier by Jaylan Mitchel was performed at Mountainview College at a 24 hour play festival.

I loved the design choices and the staging.
There were set pieces that established the world without overwhelming the stage with too many things. I also enjoyed the staging and contrast of interactions between Jemma with her mom VS. Jemma and Will. The actors also seemed to have had a great time and there were distinct character choices and differentiation between all characters. I loved seeing the play I wrote come to life in such an enjoyable way!
