Emmalyn Gladney Miron is a Dallas based teacher, actor and director. She is the Artistic Director at Poor Yorick Productions and the Founder of Compántas Aisteoirí na nÓg Irish-American Music Theatre Initiative. Emmalyn earned her B.A. in Music Theatre and Acting/Directing from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, her M.A. in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. She also has an M.Hum from the University of Dallas and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas. Emmalyn has performed with the National Broadway Tour of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," The Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Shakespeare Dallas, Bare Bones Shakespeare, MBS Productions, Trinity International Troupe, and Theatre Britain. She was a member of the cast of the Jekyll & Hyde Club, Dallas, and Chorvettes Stageworks Company: Goodwill Ambassadors for Oklahoma.
Ms. Miron has toured Texas and Oklahoma with Gear Up Tour and Shakespeare Dallas, educating children in Shakespeare, theatre and higher education. Some of Emmalyn’s directing credits include Tennessee Williams’ "This Property Is Condemned," where she won Best Director, "Hamlet" where she was honored with Dallas’s Best of 2019 Critic’s Choice for Best Costume Designer and recently "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" where she was awarded a directing artist micro-grant from the City of Lewisville.
Emmalyn is a championship Irish Step Dancer, having earned the title of Texas State Champion, and a Tap Dancer, recently chosen as one of seven dancers from around the world to dance with Sarah Petronio in Paris, France. She is on the board of Legacy Tap Project Historical Tap Collective, and danced with Celtic Rock band, Needfire. In addition, she is a burlesque dancer and pinup model, recently winning Battlin' Betties Pinup Contest at Maverick Harley Davidson and Pinup and Pipes at Black and Gold Harley Davidson.
